Therapy & Restorative justice

From the 25th till the 26th of September, the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law will organize a workshop on the relationship between therapy and restorative justice in cases of sexual violence.

This workshop focuses on (1) the potential of restorative justice for victims and perpetrators of sexual violence and their families and (2) on the challenge it entails with regard to the therapeutic treatment that victims and offenders may be participating in. The aim of this workshop is to examine and explore the potential and challenges that lie in the interface of restorative justice when it is being offered to victims and offenders who are engaged in therapeutic work.
