Recap EFCAP Keep Connected Meeting 2021

The first EFCAP Keep Connected Meeting was a great success! Nearly seventy colleagues from over ten different countries attended the meeting. Following a warm welcome by EFCAP President Prof. Chijs van Nieuwenhuizen, expert by experience Paul Gelissen introduced the EFCAP 2022 youth exchange. Raf Hamaizia gave an inspiring talk on his work as a group expert by experience lead at Cygnet, UK. Next, it was time for the first part of the informative and interesting interview with Prof. Tonia Nicholls on adverse childhood experiences and trauma informed practice. Prof. Nicholls discussed several seminal studies on the subject and provided concrete examples of trauma informed practice. After a short break, the second part of the interview commenced. The interviewer, dr. Ed Hilterman, did not only ask questions but the audience also chipped in during the Live Q & A. In case you could not attend our Keep Connected Meeting, or just want to see it again, we have good news for you. A recording of the entire meeting is available below.

The meeting was a great opportunity to keep connected and to get inspired. Moreover, it promises a lot for the upcoming EFCAP congress.  We are looking forward to the 2022 EFCAP congress in Eindhoven and hope to connect with you then once again!
